This past weekend I went out to Minden with Josh's mom & sister to visit his grandma. Here's a picture from our trip. The Sandhill Cranes are migrating, so the skies and fields are filled with them. They may not be the prettiest birds, but to those of us bird lovers, it's pretty interesting to see so many birds at one time. We saw many more birds than this, but the other pictures didn't come out as clear as this one.

I still remember the trip Josh and I took out to Minden during the migration. It was amazing. Neither of us had ever seen so many birds at one time in our entire lives. We had a lot of fun trips together to visit Grandma. She was and still is pretty special to Josh & I, which is why I think Josh felt comfortable "going home" when he did. He knew she was there to be with me when he had to go. Always worrying about me, even up to his last moments on Earth, what an amazing husband he was...and continues to be. I hope I can show just how amazing of a person Josh is to our baby. One thing I know for sure, this baby will always know how much their daddy loves them and how much their daddy wanted them. I know he'll make sure of that.
