3 weeks old...

My Kayah is 3 weeks old now. I can't believe how fast these 3 weeks have flown by! Well, I guess only in some sense time has flown, while in another it seems like it's been such a long time. For example, I look back at the pictures of myself laying in the hospital bed, waiting to see my little girl's face for the first time and I just can't believe that was 3 weeks ago! You always hear people say after they have a baby that it feels like that baby was always a part of the family; like they can't remember what it was like not having the baby. Well, I think I have to agree. It's hard to remember back to not having Kayah here with me...nor do I really care to remember back to not having Kayah here with me. I LOVE being her mommy. I LOVE having her in my arms staring up at me, or at my side kicking her little feet, or on my chest sleeping soundly. I wouldn't go back to "before Kayah" for anything!

Time is also flying by when I think about having to go back to work. I really don't want to go back. I really don't want to have to leave Kayah with someone else during the day...especially someone I don't know. And no, I haven't even found a daycare yet! It's a bit stressful, but I'm going to keep trying. If anyone knows of someone who does daycare in Omaha, please call me or email me to let me know! I really need some help!

Anyway, I'm enjoying my time with Kayah...every single second of time. It's amazing to be a mother!
